Rejuvenating Worldwide Programs x Remote Year

Remote Year wanted to expand its offerings with a product that would:

  • Give potential customers a taste of the RY experience

  • Expand into new destinations

  • Attract a wider audience with shorter, focused programs

  • Strengthen engagement with existing customers

This vision led to RETREATS—a community-driven platform for short, rejuvenating programs.

The Outcome

Launched in 2020, RY Retreats provided a shorter, more accessible option as travel resumed post-pandemic. In just one year, the program grew from 6 to 9 retreats and expanded from 2 to 7 destinations. The retreats center around two core themes:

  • Recharge – A holistic approach to wellness

  • Purpose – Aligning mind and body for deeper fulfillment

  • Designed and executed 15 retreats, including 6 in 2020-2021 and 9 in 2022

  • The product carefully designed proved its ability to provide highly curated, short-form experiences, achieving an average NPS of 94%.

  • Retreats served as an accessible entry point to Remote Year driving repeat business

  • The programs attracted both new and seasoned travellers looking for a meaningful reset which offered new audiences to engage with
